I am a California native and grew up in scenic Tahoe South where I learned to appreciate the outdoors and all the beauty that it had to offer. When I was growing up, my father had two successful careers, one as an educator and the other as a general contractor building and remodeling homes. At the age of 13, I started helping my father build amazing custom homes and this is where I found my passion for painting. My father taught me the importance of quality, craftsmanship and professionalism which carries through in my work today. My inspiration for art came from hiking, camping and enjoying the outdoors. I would take my pencils and sketchpad to capture the beauty around me and this is how I learned about light, dark, color, hue, value and Chroma. I had the good fortune to be trained by some of the greatest artists of our time, learning different styles of painting. I sold my first painting at 13 and since have had paintings displayed and sold in several art galleries.
As an adult I moved to Phoenix, Arizona to complete my college education. I later started my own successful painting and mural business and offered a variety of high end services such as faux finishes, Venetian plaster, custom painting and murals. I returned home to California to continue my career as an artist and custom painter.
